Final Green Screen Design

Under The Spotlight Design

Under The Spotlight Design

  • In shooting the model for this design, I made various mistakes with the lighting that now I regret. Therefore, I would now make the placement of the light more direct on the model, less to the back and more to the front where the light from a spotlight would hit.

  • I would change the location of the photo, making the make-shift green screen behind the model more noticeable, ultimately making the extraction progress much swifter.

  • In the actual design, I would do more research on lighting so that the flags in the back of the design, the floor texture, and even the model can be accurately exposed to the spotlight.

  • For this design, I would cut out the image of the White House with more detail, making sure no space is left awkwardly without it being cut out.

  • I would also change the way the lighting from the light beam interacted with other elements in the design, like the White House and the trees, along with the American flag in the background. I would do more research to make the lighting and exposure realistic.

Green Screen Summary

After knowing all the steps to make a successful green screen project, I have determined that the Shooting, Extraction, and Creation of the final product is the portion I prefer being on. This is due to my struggle with creating and designing a worthy layout without the visual representation of the pose and lighting of the model. I have trouble envisioning a captivating design without a visible model. My mind works backward in the way that I get ideas by looking at the person in a photo and not creating something from scratch with the vague basis that someone will be placed in it later on. I also enjoy more seeing the final product and blending images to look real and convincing.

I can see myself working in this field of Commercial Photography. I now know what is required and how to efficiently execute green screens projects for the best results: a lot of imagination and swift management. It is not two-step progress for a lot is needing to complete a green screen design. But I enjoy the process; I find it almost therapeutic. So I think this field is one that I could be interested in pursuing.
